gmaLogo  The GLOBAL MUSIC ACADEMY is devoted to the promotion of the musical heritage of the world through education. Based in the Berlin, the GMA will offer a Bachelors and three Masters degrees from the end of 2014. The GMA has set up the Global Music Campus, a mobileteacher training and curriculum development program focussed on the music of East and Southern Africa. There are ten countries involved in the network. Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa and Madagascar.

The GOETHE - INSTITUTE TANZANIA funded the participation of two teachers at the 2012 Global Music Academy held at the Capegate MIAGI Centre in Jabulani, Soweto in South Africa. The Goethe-Institut Tanzania organizes and supports a broad spectrum of cultural events to present German culture abroad and to foster intercultural exchange. They offer German language courses, workshops and seminars for teachers and an extensive program of examinations. AMTZ has regularly held student concerts there. 

DBDarLogo The GERMAN EMBASSY IN DAR ES SALAAM funded the first teacher training session after the 2010 Global Music Campus held in Dar es Salaam. This enabled the teachers from AMTZ to train the first group of trainers so that we could begin our work. They have been one of the biggest supporters of AMTZ since the first Global Music Campus which was funded the the German Foreign Office through its program Action Africa. 

MCLogoNew TheMUSIC CROSSROADS ACADEMY is a non-profit organisation using the power of music education, professional training, live performances and promotion of young talents to support the development of the music sector and education in the culturally rich Southern African region. Music Crossroads opened three new Music Crossroads Academies in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe in April 2013 to provide professional music training for young musicians. 

BayimbaFoundation Logo The BAYIMBA CULTURAL FOUNDATION strives to establish a vibrant arts and culture sector that is professional, creative and viable and contributes to social and economic development in Uganda and East Africa. Its primary mission is to uplift arts and culture (specifically visual and performing arts) in Uganda and East Africa by stimulating original intra- and interdisciplinary cultural exchange and creativity. Bayimba is currently developing its own music academy in cooperation with the Global Music Academy in Berlin. 
DCMALogo The DHOW COUNTRIES MUSIC ACADEMY ZANZIBAR opened Zanzibar's first music school in September 2002 providing music lessons as well as instruments at minimal cost to anyone interested in studying music related to their culutural background or acquiring mastery of an instrument. Special emphasis has been placed on teaching traditional music instruments. The academy's overall aim is to preserve and promote the musical heritage of Zanzibar and Dhow region.
